Scotland Sulbime: Great Houses & Gardens of the Scottish Borders

Paxton House, The Borders
Abbotsford, The Borders
Preston Hall, Midlothian
Traquair House, The Borders

Scotland! The name conjures up visions of misty heather punctuated by divine, art-filled country houses and yards of tartan. And it’s all true! Based at the Floors Castle Estate, the seat of the Duke of Roxburghe, the DiCamillo Travel group visited some of Scotland’s greatest houses, including Robert Adam’s Neoclassical masterpiece, Mellerstain; the Earl of Rosebery’s Dalmeny House; and Traquair House, occupied for almost 1,000 years and the originator of the Scottish Baronial style.
