Hampton House (Hampton Lodge)

  • House & Family History: Hampton was originally built as a late 18th century Picturesque style villa. The house was hugely enlarged in the mid-19th century, leaving the villa as the substantial country house seen today.

  • Garden & Outbuildings: The park was laid out in the style of Repton in the 19th century; Pevsner called it "probably the best in Surrey." The estate today covers 2,250 acres.
