House & Family History: The circa 1140 north wing, which features a Norman hall and an exceptionally fine detached ambulatory, is one of the very few examples of an unfortified Norman domestic building in England. All of this was incorporated by William Knight into the 16th century manor house he built. Horton Court is also notable for some of the earliest Renaissance decorative elements in England.
Garden & Outbuildings: Horton Camp, an Iron Age hill fort with open access, is situated 500 yards to the south of the house.
