Moat Mount House (Mote Mount House)

  • Earlier Houses: There was an earlier, probably medieval, moated house near the site of the 18th century house.

  • Garden & Outbuildings: Most of the estate was purchased in 1923 by Hendon Council, who converted the land into a public park and nature reserve. In 1927 the A1 Barnet Bypass bisected the estate, part of which became Mill Hill Golf Club.
