House & Family History: Mompesson House is noted for its magnificent plasterwork and its fine oak staircase. The watercolor artist Barbara Townsend (1842-1939), mentioned in Edith Olivier's book, "Four Victorian Ladies of Wiltshire," lived at Mompesson for her entire life.
Collections: Mompesson contains the Turnbull Collection of 18th century drinking glasses.
Garden & Outbuildings: The walled garden has a pergola and traditional herbaceous borders.
