Raglan Castle (Ragland Castle)

  • House & Family History: In October of 1881 the Prince and Princess of Wales (later Edward VII and Queen Alexandra) visited the castle. Jacobean paneling and overmantel originally at Raglan was installed in Troy House and later (1895) sold from there to Badminton House, where it is currently installed in the Oak Room.

Comments: Raglan is considered the finest late medieval fortress-palace in Britain.
