House & Family History: In 1923 Wyndham Damar Clark sold Talygarn Manor and its Estate to the South Wales Miners' Welfare Committee for use as a miners' convalescent home (it later became a rehabilitation center for mineworkers). Talygarn was converted to multi-family housing in 2000.
